Budgeting is an essential financial tool that helps you create an achievable spending plan for your money.

Your budget ensures that you will always have enough money for the things you need, and for the things that are important to you.  Following a budget or spending plan will also help keep you out of debt, or help you to clear any existing debt.

At Frollo we help you set up an easy budgeting plan, broken down into three categories:

  • Living expenses are those that flow out of your bank account each month for rent/mortgage, bills, groceries, insurance and other essentials.  Our guide for living expenses is 60% of your income.
  • Lifestyle expenses are those that also flow out of your bank account but often put a smile on your face!  These expenses include restaurants, taxis, beer, wine, your morning coffee, or yet another item for your wardrobe.  Our guide for lifestyle expenses is 10% of your income.
  • Savings. We prioritise savings because they provide a financial cushion – and just like most cushions, they make life that much more comfortable.  Our guide for savings is 30% of your income.

More than that, we guarantee that budgeting works, whether you want to build a million dollar property portfolio, buy something super-expensive, or pay down a mountain of debt.
